Win Another Million

PPI has been celebrating 15 years in business all year in 2008.  Part of the celebration was to run a contest unlike any we had offered before.  After 15 years of working with lottery winners, we came up with giving away our own million dollar prize.  We were absolutely excited about the idea and the lottery promotion “Win Another Million” was born.

It was a call in sweepstakes and every thirty days for four months starting April 15th, three semi-finalists were chosen.  Out of the twelve semi-finalists, three finalists were chosen to participate in the Win Another Million Contest for the chance to win $1 Million.

The three finalists, Linda B. of Ludlow, Ma., Carmen W. of Richmond, Va. and Sergio M. of Brewster, NY were each awarded an expenses-paid trip for two to West Palm Beach, Florida for the contest event.

On October 18, 2008 contestants arrived by limousine and were greeted with an enthusiastic red carpet welcome.  They had a meet and greet followed by a light lunch.  Before the game began, all contestants were thoroughly briefed on the game rules and procedures.

For the game each finalist was provided with forty envelopes and the opportunity to win

  • $500
  • $10,000
  • $100,000
  • $1 Million

This was a “Match Five” game.  The three players opened their 40 cards until they matched 5 of the same prize cards.  Once 5 cards were matched, the finalist won that prize in cash. While all three players had the potential for winning the $100,000 prize, there could be only one million dollar winner.  If a finalist won the million, the remaining players could win up to $100,000.

Contestants were nervous as they opened the envelopes one at a time, matching amounts as they went along.  Everyone was cheering for them to Win Another Million.  The emotions were high, there were tears and screams and in the end, all three contestants went home with great memories and cash prizes.

We couldn’t be prouder to have hosted the first annual Win Another Million Contest.  Our contestants had an outstanding experience and everyone involved enjoyed the day.<–>

Using Resources Wisely Series – Part 7

Americans expect things fast and instantaneous. Most people feel driving is a right not a privilege. Even though many people are fuming about being inconvenienced by high gas prices, I believe many Americans will eventually find the balance between convenience and conservation of resources.
