Using Resources Wisely-Part 5 How Can Gas Saving Strategies Help Me Sell My Structured Settlement?

Can you really save money on gas, without driving less? According to this gas blog resource you definitely can. There is an amazing gas consumption calculator at the bottom of the page which shows you the optimal speed to drive in order to use less gas on your trip.
My research shows there are many factors that play into how much gas mileage a car gets. Lack of car maintenance, driving speed, type of tires, roof racks, tail gates, idling time & a/c usage can all create higher gas consumption. Which means, even though we can do very little about the price of gas, we can do a lot to effect how we consume it. So this got me thinking. Maybe how much I pay for gas does not determine how much my gas is worth?
It may seem tedious and uneventful to notice and adjust all these little things to maximize our gas consumption. The economic crunch is squeezing our wallets. Consequently many of us are seeking ways to squeeze value out of every last thing including our gas.
Just like shopping gas stations on the way home, “price” shopping is not always the best way to squeeze the most value out of your structured settlement. All too often, it is not in your best interest to sell an entire structured settlement policy.
Similar to getting the best value out of your gasoline it can be tedious to share detailed information with the structured settlement factoring company to fund your transaction. As a customer you owe it to yourself and your family to consider all possibilities and options. The settlement buyer must be informed of a variety of factors in your life in order for you to squeeze all the value out of your future payments.
As always thanks for reading and I will see you next post.
Meanwhile Here are a few gas saving tips I find most helpful:
- Buy gas on Wednesday and at least three days before a holiday. Gas goes up near the weekend and holidays and then goes back down.
- Check online for gas stations offering cash discounts. One chain in my area offers 5 cents per gallon for cash.
- Drive slower! Recommended speeds for better mileage is 45-55 instead of 55-70, so leaving earlier will save us money too.
- Combine trips. Do your shopping, errands, & visits on your way to and from work, church or doctors appointment. This is innovation meets efficiency.
