Taking a Blog Post Personally

What Makes a Quality Blog Post?

I want readers to understand why Prosperity Partners blogs and I want the bloggers at Prosperity Partners to know how to post a quality blog. I have been a blogger for years as they evolved from online diaries into another means for customers and companies to interact. We all benefit from the discussions that generate within blogs as readers and writers. Customers can benefit from our knowledge and experience even as we can improve and grow from customer feedback. But writing a blog post is not enough. This is not a “Field of Dreams” remake. Blog posts must be personal, educational, and entertaining or people will not even take the time to read them.

How Personal?blogman

Professionally personal. Prosperity Partners Posts should be an expression of personality while sharing minimal personal information. This is for professional and security reasons. A personal blog that you write for yourself can have more information about your life, your family, your history, your personal beliefs, etc. A Prosperity Partners blog post is a place to let your personality shine through as you share things that will educate or entertain the reader. For example, I might share about a phone call I had with an insurance company or a notary, but I will not write about my relationship with my parents in the Prosperity Blog.

“Edutaining”

PPI Bloggers should write posts that are edutaining. They should in some way teach the reader something and entertain them all in the same post. You do not have to juggle knives and swallow fire to be entertaining. Nor do you have to know everything to teach. We all have knowledge and experience in areas that would benefit a blog reader. Our personalities, anecdotes, and writing styles serve as the building blocks for being entertaining. It may also help to be relevant by blogging about current events and relating them to your blog post topic.

Blogging is a format Prosperity Partners is using to create a dialogue with customers and industry peers. We will be professional and relevant as we seek to inject personality, information, and entertainment into our posts. As always we welcome feedback from our readers.
