My contract says I can’t sell…

“my contract states that it cant be sold but the contract was written before I was 18, could I get this changed?”

Can you change your contract? Probably not. But…

Virtually every settlement annuity contract has what’s called “non-assignable language” in it’s body. Insurance companies must include this language to qualify for their tax breaks.

There are laws that supercede this language allowing for a transfer of the payments with an approved court order obtained by a third party.

Please call if you need any more information regarding your contract. 800-509-1535.

Ask for Greg, he specializes in annuity transfers.
