Lottery Losers

Despite a tremendous effort on my part, I didnt win the lottery. The past few months the Florida lottery ran a Nascar promotion. I bought a tickt every day for 3 months, not to win the lottery, but to win the nascar promotion! No luck for me.

Here are some other lottery losers:

OKLAHOMA CITY State lottery officials are warning players of the “Trucks and Bucks” game of a scam that tells them they’ve won a truck.
Several people report getting a pre-recorded phone message encouraging them to call lottery officials because they’ve won a truck.

But the Lottery Commission says the number provided in the message is not associated with the state lottery.

According to a pair of surveys commissioned by the Consumer Federation of America and the Financial Planning Association last year, a sizable portion of the American public is convinced that the best chance of acquiring real wealth is through winning the lottery. An even larger portion of the populace believes they will never amass even $200,000 over their lifetimes.

Balderdash. On both counts.
