HELLO HOW MAY I HELP YOU
The pre-settlement phone line rings and my heart starts beating (it is not like today is my first day at the position) but still my heart is racing! With the first ring of the phone the mystery starts. See I never know what is going to happen or what I am going to experience when I pick up the phone. I call it my mystery machine because through the phone, I am not just another representative, but a friend, counselor, family member. Customers that call me are nervous, confused, mad at the world, or excited, but all are in need of assistance. With me on the other end of the phone, every caller gets understanding, compassion, and professional assistance with what they need. Customers are often shocked by my positive characteristics. Callers can expect to hear kind statements like “It is ok, I am human too” or “Do not worry I am here to help” or my favorite one “I am not a robot”. They appreciate my friendliness and how at ease they are to talk to me. They begin skeptical about calling and by the end of the conversation are glad they called. With that feeling, they invite me into all types of conversations with them, I am glad I had my angel halo on (at least that day)! Stay tuned for one of the days I did not!
