What’s wrong with Calling 5 Different Companies? I Want the Best Price!
There is absolutely nothing wrong with calling around when you decide to sell your annuity payments. If I planned to get a new car I probably would not buy my car from the first dealership I saw on the side of the road. It is smart to shop for the best deal, but when all you have are a bunch of sales guys (or in my case, sales “girls”) haggling over who can give you the most for your payments (ever hear “I’ll beat any price you get by $1,000.00!”?), does it make you wonder why they did not give you the best price right off the bat?
Take this into consideration:
Did they stop to ask you what your current financial situation is? What payments you can afford to live without? How much money you truly need (not want) and how that money will benefit you? (The judge needs to know this)
You should never sell more than is necessary to reach your financial need. You as the annuitant are entitled to sell a portion of your payments. In most circumstances, you do not have to sell all of your future payments.

At Prosperity Partners Inc., we value you as an individual. So when you call, do not be surprised if we ask a slew of questions in an attempt to get to know your financial need. We will not throw a number out at you, no matter how many times you ask “Why can’t I just get a quote?!” We value you! You are not just a number to us. Our goal is to work together with you to determine the best course of action. So when you are shopping for the best price for your payments, consider the value of receiving first class service.
