What?! Another company told me I could have it in 4 weeks guaranteed & they are offering me an advance too!
I am really sorry but, well … that may not be true. Realistically, you are looking at more like 2-3 months. I will explain more below but I wanted you to understand that unfortunately, it is a common tactic used to get you to sign on the dotted line. What they are doing in essence is telling you what they think you want to hear.
Now, granted if I were the one calling about selling my structured settlement payments I would want to hear that too. I can understand that you really want to believe what they said! “I get my money in 4 weeks and I get an advance too - Awesome!” The truth sometimes is not easy to swallow and knowing that someone tried to trick you is irritating or worse. Luckily, you came across this blog and now you will know the truth.
The process of selling your annuity payments involves the finance company (in this case it would be PPI) following all statutes and guidelines as required by federal and state laws. You can find out more about the process in detail by checking out our other blog postings.
You will see that there are several documents required (many that need to be signed & notarized), and a court date must be established resulting in an approved order. All this must be done prior to you receiving your lump sum from your annuity payments. Not following these procedures will result in a severe penalty for Prosperity Partners.
At PPI, we will never mislead you. We expect you will be happy with your transaction and will fully understand the process every step of the way. If you have any questions at any time (even before you decide to do business with us) - just ask. We’re here to help & you are our top priority.
