How to Change Your Relationship with Money

Your Money or Your Life – Transform Your Relationship With Money and Achieving Financial Independence is a national bestselling book by Joe Dominguez and Vicki Robin. Someone recently gave me the 1992 edition of this book. With all the economic upheaval, I thought this book may offer some insight and wisdom I can pass on to my friends and family.   I am impressed with how relevant this book and excited about joining the movement and the network this book has initiated in the last twenty years.  http://www.yourmoneyoryourlife.org/

In the book, the authors Joe and Vicki talk about needing a new financial road map that requires thinking in new ways.  I believe this is the most relevant thing Americans are dealing right now.  So many things are crashing down around us.  Our outer lives are being dismantled.  As we are being forced (and I mean forced) to change our ways, remaking our inner financial lives is inevitable.

Joe and Vicki call this FI or financially independent thinking and it is for anyone who wants a clear, relaxed relationship with money. Until you think independently and deliberately question your own inner road map you will spend more than you earn, not like your job and stay confused by money, leaving it to experts who will in turn feed on your ignorance.

In their 9 step, hands on program,  they emphasize ‘a “whole systems” approach to life…the basics of making your spending (and hopefully your saving) of money into a clear mirror of your life values and purpose.  It is about the most basic of freedoms-the freedom to think for yourself.

The relationship with money encompasses more than just your earning, spending, debts and savings; it also includes the time these functions take in your life.  In addition, your relationship with money is reflected in the sense of satisfaction and fulfillment that you get from your connection to your family, your community and the planet.’

Looking to cash your annuity out is your big opportunity to examine your financial road map and where it is taking you.  Read the book and give Prosperity Partners, Inc. a call and go from FI (financially independent) thinking to FI (financially independent) living.
